When first seen Cora seems to be a slightly strange person, because she sometimes doesn’t know how to interact with others and insults them, without meaning it bad. But if you know her better she is a funny and laughing girl, that playfully teases people around her.
Cora would consider herself an Introvert because she likes to be around people but being around them to much causes her to want to go away and be by herself for a short time. A lot of people who don’t know her that well would consider her an extrovert, because they just realize that she talks and jokes around a lot and don’t realize that she never talks about herself.
She can also be very serious about topics and can be a good person to reason with when it comes to strategic plans. When higher-ups tell her something to do she always does it instantly and shows a lot of discipline and respect to them.
If you observe Cora closely you might notice, that she almost never says anything about herself, not her past, not how she is right now. She hates to talk about herself because she is dealing with multiple personalities and has herself perfectly under control, but when talking about herself or her past she gets frightened that she can’t hold control over them. Normally she talks to Nex and Vec in her head and really likes them, not minding her other two personalities at all. Cora is quite happy she has them, without Vec and Nex she would be quite lonely.
She shares memories with her other two personalities so the other ones always know what’s up. The first one called Vec is a homocidal maniac who has control over the body almost never. And the second one, Nex, is a silent person, able to get Cora out of alot of deadly situations with titans and humans.

In battle she is very serious and concentrates on what she is doing right now. Most of her actions are risky and seem suicidal. Causing her to get the name Valkyrie.

Appearance: Cora is a slender and big girl, who is a bit underweight. She has a lot of muscels that can’t be seen if you just take a quick look. She always wears her long blonde hair in a ponytail or braided that it won't get in her way. She never gave a lot about clothes, but Cora always wears her favourite colours black and a dark grey. In each of her boots she carries a knife, and always an extra one on her belt.
On her back and arms are a lot of scars, the most are small but also a big one drawing from her right shoulder to the left side of her hip.

Character Information

Likes: Cora loves animals, they have always been at her side and she absolutly loves them, even if they bite her. Cora doesn’t care a bit about what they have done to other humans. Cora loves to draw, she is quite good at drawing animals but aweful when it comes to humans. She also loves to sing, but only if noone can hear it, because in her opinion it sounds aweful, sometimes she just humms a song without realizing she does it.

Dislikes: Cora absolutly dislikes questions, especially when they are about her past, herself or if they are just dumb questions. She also hates running, because she sucks at it, her stamina runs out too quickly. Not letting go is the last thing she doesn’t like, people who are crying a long time over their lost comrades are considered weak and annoying. Also crying and complaining is something she can’t stand.

Fears: Her greatest fear is probably people noticing about her true personalities or don’t having control about Vec or Nex and accidently killing someone. Aside from that she is extremly afraid of falling, especially dieing from falling.

Motivations: She enlisted into the military to have a place where Nex and Vec could have a place to kill titans and be useful. Cora also wanted to join because her foster-father was in the military.


Character History

Background:

Cora grew up in a small village near the Nedlay District. Her whole family including her parents, three siblings and grandparents lived on a small farm. They were poor but happy with their lives. Cora started to remember things when she was two years old and was able to read when she was three. Her grandmother taught her a lot of things, she used to be a teacher and was now fully occupied with teaching Cora.

At that time a starvation was in the Nedlay District and a group of bandits raided the village killing her parents and grandparents. They took her two older brothers, sister and Cora with them and sold them to a group of mercenaries near the shiganshina district who where training children as bodyguards for nobles.
Cora was a bit too young to start her training but they started training her discipline. When she complained or cried at night for her siblings and parents they beat her.
After a year Cora watched her brother getting killed by one of the mercenaries because he was too weak. Cora ran out of her hiding space wanting to protect her older brother but the killer just laughed and kicked her away.
They decided to start her real training because of that incident and just put her in place of her brother with children one or two years older. Cora was still so mad at all the persons keeping her here that she didn’t do what she was told. Everytime she refused to do what they wanted the mercs cut her back with a knife. Over the course of two years she came to be a disciplined and obidient child, doing everything they wanted at cost of her developing two other personalities. Nex, the quiet one, was in charge at that time to keep the real Cora from getting hurt. Around her seventh birthday Cora had recovered just fine at took over the body once again. As her basic training was finished when she turned seven she develpoed a lot of fighting and survival skills like knife throwing, martial arts and first aid skills. She had also developed another ability: nearly not feeling pain, her sense of pain was deadened and since then she can endure a lot of pain without passing out.
For five years she was trained in martial arts and melee fighting until the day she should get sold to a noble as a bodyguard. A group of stationary guards came and freed everyone. Their leader came up to every kid and inspected them, they put everyone in the orphanary, except for Cora. When their leader looked at her he realized that it was hopeless to try to get her back to live as a normal kid. He took her with him. After two weeks he saw that it was hopeless to put her together with other kids, because Cora didn’t know what to do with them. She just ’played’ all by herself by training. Since she was freed Cora had never spoken a word to anyone. Her new Foster-father decided to take her with him to the walls. Cora brightened up, talked with a lot of people, and it was her dream since then to join the military and prove to her foster-father that she was able to help people.
As she was telling the other thirteen year olds what her dream was the titan attacked and killed her foster-father. One of the soldiers who knew Cora took her with him to savety. She managed to recover from that last loss really quickly.
One year later, at the age of fourteen, she joined the military.
She hasn’t seen her older sister or older brother since then.
