Out of Battle: When Tobias isn't on duty or on a mission, he usually is friendly with everyone. He's very outgoing and talkative. 'He isn't always happy and joyful, however. The occurrences in his past are to blame. They have left him mentally unstable. Because of this, he tends to get upset or angry rather easily. It also sometimes causes him to have extreme temper tantrums where he begins to get violent. He makes unwise decisions that end up hurting his friends or the people around him, which is why he is not able to keep many friends. The ones closest to him are the ones that stay by his side. Although, he still has trouble determining whether they're trustworthy or not.
In Battle: Whether it be titan or human, friend or foe, Tobias will show no mercy. He will not hesitate to kill his enemies or anyone who stands in his way and will not feel any amount of guilt after doing so. He can be very menacing and serious when provoked or threatened. He also tends to be very careless when Tobias is like this. It's like he forgets about living and only focuses on stopping the enemy. He immediately scolds himself after he has finished the job, since his mother would've scolded him as well.

Appearance: Tobias has the typical build as any average young adult. His skin is somewhat pale which he never really understood since his mother was quite tan. He has wavy brown hair that often gets into complicated locks. Although he's very tall, he slouches most of the time which makes him look shorter than he really is. He makes sure his clothes are always clean and look neat. His smile, can be both creepy and warming. In the dark, his eyes seem to look like they're the same color of his hair, but when he steps out into light his eyes can be seen lighter, almost hazel.

Art - He always shown much interest in the aesthetics of art. This interest caused him to visit the Art Museum a few times a week, but when the Military Police forced a very expensive entry charge, he ended his weekly visits.
The Cold - The freezing Winter weather is enough to put Tobias in a good mood. During the Winter, he would take walks outside to cease his depression or anger.
Men - Ever since he was about 11, he's always known that he was sexually attracted to men. He enjoys the manly type, but intellect was always an important factor. However, he tends to dislike falling in love for personal reasons.

Spicy Foods - Tobias just cannot handle spicy foods. Whatever it is, he will not hesitate to rinse it out with water, milk or anything that's available.
Falling in Love - Ugh. Just ugh. Whether it be a harmless crush or your average relationship, Tobias just can't stand the complex ways of love. The feelings he gets can be rather annoying to cope with.
Loosing a Friend - It can be rough on everyone, especially Tobias. Whenever he looses a friend, he's stuck to believe that it was his mental instability that caused it, even though that isn't the case.
Fears:
Titans - After having his home destroyed by the Titan battle in Stohess, he realized that even the inner wall isn't safe from the dreaded titans. Due to this insecurity, he decided to join the fight against these creatures. Shifter or not, he'll do everything he can to stop them.
Outside the Walls - Although he wishes to join the Survey Corps, it could come to be impossible due to the fact that he's just scared of being outside of the walls. Who isn't? Titans are roaming everywhere and you never know when one is going to pop out.
Pandemic - The second threat to mankind. It's always worried Tobias for quite some time, due to one out break of Measles. It was then that he realized that if a very deadly disease of some sort were to happen inside the walls, it could get quite disastrous.
Motivations:
His Dream - His main goal in life is to join in a revolution against the Government. He's realized over the years how corrupted it is. The secrets it hides can be valuable to mankind's survival, yet they still keep quiet.
Brothers - His two remaining brothers also motivate him to keep fighting. He is sometimes allowed to visit them sometimes at the Orphanage. Once Tobias joined the Scouting Legion, his brothers began to look up to him, sort of like a hero.
3D Gear - Seriously. That thing is freaking cool. He loves using it because it makes feel like he's flying or floating on air. Not to mention, that it gives Tobias some sort of false security. Although it may be heavy at times, Tobias is always prepared to fight against a titan.
Background:
Tobias was born in Stohess and lived in a small home with his mom and 3 brothers. His dad was never around. He never remembered meeting him either, but his mother told many stories of him. They would change quite often. First, he was a member of the Garrison and died in battle. Another time his mother said he was the mayor of Stohess and was always too busy to see us. At the point where he was 6, he had stopped believing his mom. He figured that she told these stories to make his father seem like a great man that lived a great life. At age 12, he began working in his families shop that they owned to earn money. Day after day, no customers. The shop wasn't very successful, but they barely made enough to make do. It was by that time his mother considered moving into wall Rose to own a farm or something. Tobias liked Stohess, if it weren't for the Military Police. Whenever he walked in the streets to pick up some groceries or go mess around, he would see the MP pick on some kids. At first, he thought they were hooligans, but then realized they were just normal kids. The MP were taking money from innocent children. His respect for the Military Police dropped a whole. And the worst part is, none of the citizens intervened. At 15, news broke out that Wall Maria and Wall Rose were breached and that many districts fell, including Shiganshina. Chaos fell all over in walls Maria and Rose, except for Sina. It was peaceful, but not everyone was at ease. At 18, Stohess became a battleground for two unusual Titans. The female titan and Eren Jaeger of the Scouting Legion. A human that could become a titan. The citizens were evacuated during the battle, unfortunately many lives were lost. His mother and youngest brother were killed in the fight by getting crushed in the rubble that was their home. 3 years after this event, Tobias was now part of the Scouting Legion and pledged his life to humanity.
