54 dead titan heads on the wall (will contain drunkenness, possibly implied sexual content. Fairly warned be ye, RPers.)

There were only 4 members of the 5 in Ernest's squad still alive after that business in Trost district, but their moods were happy. Lance Corporal Ernest Novek led them- and his new friend (lacking a better word) Orchid to a small, wooden building. The place wasn't lavishly decorated, but it had a sort of earthy quality that reminded Ernest of the house he had grown up in. When the MP's entered, the place went somewhat silent.

"Relax everyone, you've all paid your taxes." Ernest said, prompting a bit of light chuckling. Soon the steady murmur of conversation was heard again. The barkeep gestured towards a large, empty table, which was soon filled up by the MP's. Ernest had allowed the barkeep to skip his tax payment a time ago, in exchange for free drinks. Now, he intended to collect on that promise. "I'll start off with an ale. What'll it be for the rest of you?" He addressed the table.

Orchid grimaced.
"Something easy." She requested. Alcohol had never been her thing. She found that she didn't hold it very well, and she didn't like not being in control.
She looked around at her comrades. She didn't know any of them, and couldn't really care less, she found.
They'd be dead in a week anyway, she thought grimly.

The barkeep returned with the various drinks, setting them all down. Orchid got a mug full of beer, the weak stuff that first-time trainees often ordered. Ernest got his ale, and wasted no time chugging the glass. He stopped with half still left, noticing the odd lack of conversation.
"What the hell's wrong with you guys? Usually I can't shut you up." He remarked. Then he noticed Orchid, looking around at everyone like they were ants crawling around, waiting to be stepped on. And he remembered Heinrich, who usually sat in her spot until today, when he had been eaten. The spot directly to Ernest's right.
"I see how it is. Well, I've never been good with speeches, but I'll say something. Heinrich was exactly like the rest of us. Not corrupt, standing as an example of what the Military Police should be. He graduated from the same class as me, and he was one of the only people who stuck by me in my choice to join the MP." Ernest felt himself choking up a little. He suppressed it down, trying to stay strong in front of everyone.
"I'll have to tell fiancee that the man she loved has died today. But that can wait. Because Heinrich wouldn't want us to feel sad. He'd want us to celebrate, and so we're going to do exactly that. To Heinrich, and the MP." Ernest finished, raising his half-empty glass.
"To Heinrich, and the MP." The others repeated, clinking their glasses together. And now that that was out of the way, the main events of the night could begin.

Orchid clinked her glass with the others, but said nothing. She did not know this Heinrich, and didn't really care to. IF he was dead, he was dead. End of story.
She took a pull of the beer, and blinked a few times, grabbing the table. Oh, man, this was a BAD idea. . .

Sebastian entered the small wooden building the MP were in noticing orchid he shook his head he ordered something from the barkeeper, it was a heavy drink and he needed one of those right now, quickly gulping it down he headed over to the MP's Table and smiles at the kinda seeming to be drunk Orchid and he looked at the rest of the MP, "Hullo fellas mind if i take a seat?"

Orchid looked up at the voice, and smirked.
"Well, if it isn't the Good ole' Scout!" She chuckled, taking another swig.
"If it's fine with these gentlemen, then I suppose there's nothing stopping you!"
Wait. Did she like or dislike the Scout? She couldn't remember.

"Pull up a chair, comrade.  Welcome to our circle of celebration."  Ernest was a fan of drinking.  He wasn't good at holding his alcohol.  This wasn't a good combination.  
"Have I told you guys how Orchid saved my ass? It was pretty good.  So there was this big titan lumbering in like the dumbasses they all are.  I was all like "I distract it and you kill" except I did my job too well and I think it wanted to kill me.  But then Orchid here swings in like a war goddess and friking cuts it's neck off. It was hawt, with a capital 'haw'."

Sebastian sits in the chair and takes a gigantic swig from his titans breath, he gulps half of it down then laughs, "Jesus! i had to save her twice of course she was more worried about just getting me out of trost and *hic* gettin paid for fucks sake!" He laughed loudly a hardy laugh after that.

Orchid blushed at the recount of her kill, and even harder when Seb mentioned saving her.
"Yeah, well. . .You're a Scout." She muttered, drinking more.
What the hell was wrong with her?! Where did her composure go?! God, what was in this DRINK?!
She chugged it, setting it down with a clank and a grin.

"HA! You were in Trost? Boy, I just pulled a pair a' injured scouts outta there!"
In his drunken stupor, he barely noticed himself putting an arm around Orchid's shoulders.
"She's all 'no they have to die' but then there was this scout who was all 'Ernest get your lazy carcass moving' and we put'em on Wall Sina and then Orchid agreed to this 'cause it'd get her off duty, and then a scout asked to join us, and then I recounted the events a'today, and..."
His voice trailed off as he slowly figured out that he had caught up with the present.

Sebastian laughed falling out of his chair, "You gotta love her sometimes don't ya!? i mean i do love her! but i wont say it sober!" he said sitting back up and taking a large swig from his mug, "Gah! good thing none of us will know a thing about this in the morning!"

Orchid stiffened when Ernest put his arm around her, her body completely rigid.
Why. Why was there something touching her?
She nervously glanced at him, blushing deeply.
"I. . .I-I should go get another drink!" She stuttered, slipping from the table and going to the bar, getting something stronger. MUCH stronger.

There was a chorus of "Ooooooohhhhh" from the MP's who were still seated at the table, and still conscious.  The others were either stumbling out onto the street, attempting to talk to the various women (or men, each had their own interests) gathered in the bar.  And some were sleeping on the floor, or at the table.

Orchid came back to the table with whiskey, and slid next to Ernest.
"What'd I-" She started, but was left spluttering as she actually took a drink.
Holy shit, that BURNED!
Orchid set the glass down, coughing.
What did she just put in her BODY?!

Ernest laughed heartily at Orchid's reaction. "Welcome to Hermiha district, where the drinks are hard and the titans are NOWHERE!" He said loudly, causing a chorus of drunken cheers to erupt. Ernest knew how to work a crowd when he had his confidence up, which was usually when he was drunk.
"Barkeep! Another round for everyone, on me!" He said, passing the keep a large sum of money with shaking hands. Being an officer in the Military Police had it's benefits, namely the payment.

Orchid accepted the drink, trying to wash down the whiskey. It went down a lot easier, and Orchid found herself smiling for the first time in awhile. A VERY long while.
The MP couldn't believe she was here right now, doing this.
"I can't believe you dragged me into this." She muttered.

"Yeah, well, I can't believe it either." Ernest replied. There were about a billion different thoughts swirling around in his head right now. Half of them involved a chicken for some reason. There was a guy selling chickens outside the tavern, and one of the drunken MP's was trying to buy from him, but that probably had nothing to do with it.

Orchid threw back another drink.
"Just so you know, you're escorting me back to the barracks. There's no way I can make it back like this."
Her judgement was already starting to go, and she was a bit wobbly. What did she drink?!
Why was she here? She couldn't think straight.

"Uh-huh." His mouth said.
"Wait, what?" His mind said.
He tried to think on it for a while. All he thought was 'can titans get drunk?'. That was the most coherent thought his fragmented mind could form at the time.
The minutes passed, and soon the skies outside were starting to darken. Ernest shakily led Orchid out of the tavern, and down the street towards the Military Headquarters, singing an old drinking song from the Hermiha District.

"The young are born,
The old are killed,
The soldiers fly away.
The titans roar,
The walls stand firm,
and we all survive
for one more day."

Orchid walked with Ernest, listening to the drinking song.
She liked it.
"Thanks. . .Sir. . .For helping me back. . ."
She slurred, barely able to string the sentence together.

"It's what I do." Ernest replied, slurring the words together. The two stood outside the military headquarters, under the glow of the streetlamps.
A more poetic person might have described it as an almost romantic atmosphere, had it not been for the apparent intoxication of both parties involved.
Ernest was very close to coming to this conclusion, but it hovered tantalizingly out of his reach.
"So, um, is there....do you...uuuuuuhhhhh...." His mouth said.
"Smooth." His mind said.

Orchid felt. . .good. Better than she'd felt in a long time. Despite rocking a bit on her feet, and her mind reacting sluggishly, the MP was smiling, something she hadn't done in years.
She giggled as Ernest stuttered, enjoying his awkwardness.
"I don't think I've smiled this much in a decade!" She declared, once more brushing back a lock of black hair.
"And to think that I thought it was going to be a disaster!"

Nick was walking down the street, when he saw with the corner of his eye a familiar face. He quickly turned his face. "Sebastian! How are you doing? I have not thanked you for the Maneuver Gear" He shook Seb's hand. He looked at the other people who where near to Sebastian. "Oh sorry, am I interrupting anything?"
