Personality: Leif is a loner. He dislikes company except for from his closest friends. He will only trust someone if they have saved his life, or spent enough time with him. He hates people that are full of themselves and will often get into fights with them. He is very ready to help those in need especially other soldiers, especially if they have seen battle, and the poor, reminding him of his life before the collapse of the wall. He is very serious when it comes to his line of work and will only ever partially relax, always ready for an unexpected situation. He severed his connection with his life before the walls collapse and will avoid attention, especially so he can avoid people from his past life. He despises the head government for their ineffective methods and training that could've saved countless lives during the colossal titan's first attack. He finds baking to be calming for him, reminding him of before the destruction of the Shiganshina district. Leif however keeps one connection to his past, his sister. He refuses to let go of her and knows that she is still alive. He searches for her during his time inside the wall.

Appearance:Leif Is scraggly, but toned due to military training. He has pale skin, and hair that goes down to his ears, but ends in a 3 inch braid tied with a small black ribbon in the back. He has a romanesque nose, speckled with freckles. He was born with an extra canine on his upper left row off teeth. He has no facial hair whatsoever. His ears are elf-like, pointing at the end. He has a bite out of his left ear. His shoulders are broad, about 1 and a half feet wide. He is very thin and lightweight, often seeing bones pushing against his skin. His legs are long and bony, ending in slightly large feet.

Character Information

Likes: Leif has a taste for sweets due to the lack of sweets he had as a child in a poor family. He likes animals, who were often his only friends due to bullies. He likes privacy, never getting too close to too many people at once, due to his distrusting nature.
Dislikes: Leif hates politics, as it often got in the way of his parents bakeries business, due to the central location for public speakings. He dislikes people who are too full of themselves, due to the fact of him being bullied as a kid. He also hates titans, for eating his parents and separated him and his sister.
Fears: Leif fears attention, often trying to stay out of the publics eye due to his meek upbringing, always trying to stay out of the way. He also fears Failure, often given the silent treatment by his parents after he had. He fears crowds as he got lost in one and was beaten up by bullies after he was pulled into an alley.
Motivations: Leif's motivated by the will to protect those he cares for, often putting himself in harms way as a child to keep his sister safe. He is motivated by the deaths of his family, wanting to continue the family legacy and avenge their deaths. He is urged on by the fact of his fathers accomplishments, as he was a solidier in the scouting legion for 6 years, before succumbing to a lost leg.

Character History

Background: Leif grew up in a bakery in a square of the Shiganshina District. He was raised for the first 3 years by his mother, as his father was a captain in the Scouting Regiment. When he was 4, his father's left leg was bitten off by an abnormal, and decommissioned from the military. His father taught him how to read and write. When he was 5 his younger sister ,Elissa was born. He took care of his sister while their parents were busy. He was bullied often often left bruised and bloody in an alley way. One day, when he was 10, he was on his way home from one such alleyway when he heard screaming. He looked up to see the colossal titan peering over the wall, his staring menacingly into the crowds. He ran. He ran to his door as he heard a huge smash, the gate being destroyed. The shockwaves sent him to the ground, sliding a couple of feet before stopping. He looked up to see his house in ruins, his mother and sister in the hands of a 8 meter titan, his father ineffectively slashing at the titans legs with a knife. Leif's father was crushed under  the titans foot the same way someone would step on a bug. The titan raised his sister to its mouth, but not before looking at Leif, as if taunting him, knowing that he was powerless to stop it, however, in this instant, a soldier freed his sister by cutting off the titans fingers and took her to safety with his gear. His mom told him to run as her limbs were torn off one by one, the titan playing with her, enjoying her pain. Leif's mother screamed urging him away. As he ran, he promised he would avenge his family, by following in his fathers footsteps to join the Scouting Regiment. He began training not even a week after the fall of Wall Maria. The only thing that kept him going was his promise. He Survived the training and ended up in the top ten.

I love the pointed ears! They remind me of Rin from blue exorcist. His so cute.
