Personality: In general, Kelly is a quiet loner, but she can give very sarcastic responses. She is nice and compassionate, but she doesn't show this side to her really, prefering to keep a calm and reserved look about her. In battle she keeps her cool and reserved attitude showing no emotions. Also in battle, Kelly is quite fierce despite her reserved demeanour, hence the nickname Wolf. She is as brave as a lion and loyal to any good friends she makes, but she rarely has any friends due to her aloofness from others. She doesn't trust easily either, so making friends with her is really tough unless you're a friend of one of her friends. Kelly doesn't do too well in social situations and finds her own responses awkward. So in the end she ends up giving sarcastic remarks and responses instead of eloquent sentences. In battle, Kelly values her squadmates and becomes rather protective of them. She does this because of loyalty to the team, not wanting to lose anyone, and because she believes that humanity has to watch each others backs if humanity is to survive. She also tends to shy away from romantic relationships, its not because she doesn't want one, its because she doesn't know how to deal with them, so most people are usually stuck in the friendzone.

Appearance: Kelly is a bit taller than other girls her age and about the same height as most guys which makes her a bit intimidating, but she is rather beautiful despite her intimidating height. Her form is also very slender yet muscular. Her muscles are compact and taut, but she is stronger then she looks. She has pale skin, a bit like snow, and a wild mane of shoulderlength black hair and light purple eyes. Her face is normally a neutral expression. She wears a black shirt underneath her green scout's cloak and standard 3D movement gear. She also wears loose black pants with several pockets and black calf-high boots. She also has a silver double hair clip on some of her bangs.

Character Information

Likes: Practicing her technique with her weapons either against target dummies or sparring partners. Writing, she has a small black book in which she writes various things like stories and experiences and such. Her peace and quiet, she likes to keep to herself sometimes. She also likes reading and practicing her acrobatics. She also likes animals because she feels like she understands them better.
Dislikes: Titans, because of all the pain and strife they have caused her and humanity (She doesn't have anything against Titan-shifters or allied titans, but she severely distrusts them). Taking orders from those that she doesn't trust or respect. Large crowds, because it makes her feel like she has no maneuvering room and because she doesn't like enclosed spaces. Cowards, she believes in standing and fighting, not lying down and dying. Socializing, she feels awkward when socializing with other people.
Fears: Humans turning on humans, she believes that if humanity is to stand a chance they need to band together against the titans and it terrifies her that humans are turning on each other and may very well cause their own demise. Opening herself up to anyone, shes afraid to be hurt emotionally or to become too attached to someone and then losing them to the titans. Humanity being completely and utterly exterminated by the titans and their insatiable apetite.
Motivations: To become one of the best fighters in the scouts. To be able to explore the world beyond the wall without having to worry about titans coming to eat you.To pursue her dreams of being a famous writer one day when the world is free of titans. To prove to everyone that she is worth her weight and not a liability to the military. She also hopes to improve her ability at socializing.

Character History

Background: To understand Kelly you have to understand her parents. Her father was a garrison soldier and her mother was a scout. They were the happiest married couple ever and soon enough they even started a family. They were given leave of their duties when their daughter, Kelly was born.

However, they wanted to make the world safer for their daughter and that meant returning to their duties. When Kelly's mother went to attend to her duties, her father would take care of her and vice versa. Everything was going well, until Kelly's mother didn't return one day from her mission. She had been killed by a titan while saving two of her squadmates who still lived thanks to her. Kelly was only five years old.

Kelly's father fell into a depression. He had to deal with the loss of his wife and had to take care of their child almost by himself, with little help from the military. A few years later, Kelly would lose her father.

There is much speculation about his death, some say he jumped because he couldn't take the grief, others say he slipped, but in the end it all came to him falling off the wall into the mouth of a waiting titan. He died quickly, but there were no remains left of her father.

Since both of Kelly's parents were in the military she was more or less adopted into the military. She was assigned small duties and started learning many skills at the young age of 9, 3 years before she would be eligible to actually join.

It was clear that her parents deaths had left their mark on Kelly and she remained aloof from others. She didn't like the sympathy that people tried to show her way. She stayed focus and tried to learn as much as she could. At the age of 11 she was allowed to become a trainee.

With all the competition about, kelly excelled, however she didn't really make many friends. She was one of the top ten of her class, having had early on military experience and military upbringing. She learned many of the skills she uses now. However, her teamwork had left something to be desired, but the rest of her skills were honed despite her being a little bit younger then the other trainees. During some exercises though she would be elected as a squad leader or co-squad leader. She always looked after her team, but wouldn't really socialize with them.

She immediately decided to follow in the footsteps of her mother and signed up with the scout regiment instead of going into the military police. Fighting actual titans was scary at first for her, but she still fought ferociously while keeping a calm demeanour. As she got more experience, she lost her fear of titans. She didn't want to die, but she wasn't afraid to as long as she made a difference. She wanted to make the world safe, so that no one would lose any of their family to the titans like she had lost her family. Her mother had died to make the world a safer place for others. Kelly felt it was her duty to continue that legacy.

When trost was attacked by titans, Kelly had been getting ready to set out on a mission. She really demonstrated some skill at command by banding together a group of cadets. She managed to save some civilians with her small band of cadets and downed a few titans on top of that. She then had to reluctantly retreat to the safety of the inner gate where she regrouped with a lot of the main force.

She even took a part in helping with the distraction while the trost main gate was being plugged. She had killed several titans and had nearly been caught twice by titans. When mop-up time came for the titans she was one of the first to clean up the remaining titans in the city. She was alarmed at the news that the military now had a titan on its side, but made peace with the idea. If having a titan on your side to fight titans was one of the only ways to turn the tide of the war, she would accept it. Besides, after all the other titans were dead, perhaps the allied titans would provide help that the human race would need to rebuild.

Extras: She has a certain affinity with animals and gets along with them fairly well. She is also strikingly beautiful, but her cold demeanour usually pushes people away from her.
