Personality: Idealistic, quite, aggressive, and impulsive, Tsubasa is more of a loner type of person. He doesn’t like to talk much, he doesn’t like to be engaged in conversations with his peers and he hates most of all being the center of attention and placed right on the spot. Though he doesn’t get along with others very well, Tsubasa actually cares very deeply for his teammates and would go to ends length to protect them as best as he could. If he actually gets comfortable around someone he can become very attached to them and becomes a bit more talkative. When on the battle field and in the face of a titan, he outwardly will appear calm and a bit frustrated but inside he will be scared to all hell. Tsubasa often believes to be completely incompetent, and cowardly and hates having to rely on anyone for any sort of assistances though will accept it should the matter involve his life or the life of someone else. This being the case he is strong willed and determined to do anything to prove that he is strong enough to defend and protect himself and others should the need for it arrive in any sort of situation.

Appearance: Tsubasa is a short person, small in frame but of average weight for his height. His hair is a light blond that falls just below his ears and frames his face. Tsubasa has pale skin and rounded eyes that give him a childish look. As his hasn’t seen much actual battle he only has a few scars from his childhood that are hidden by clothes.

Character Information

Likes: Tsubasa likes sweet things, though they are hard to come by since the Famine hit hard. He likes people who are outwardly spoken and not afraid to do what has to be done, though he often is jealous of them as he wants to be like that himself. One of his favorite things is dogs, he finds them to be the most loyal of animals who would do anything for a person who treats them right.
Dislikes: He hates his own personality, he wants to be the type of person that people can rely on. He dislikes people who take advantage of their rank and people weaker than them, finding it just cowardly and pathetic if they have to resort to it. He hates being behind the wall, wanting to be able to be free and smell the fresh air.
Fears: He fears death, the unknown, dying a pointless death and never being remembered. He fears being useless in the midst of combat or being the reason many people die. He fears the human race not ever learning anything useful about the titans and that they will just become a fast when the walls finally come crashing down from the bigger titans.
Motivations: Living, Tsubasa has an intense desire to just live and becoming stronger. To be useful to the human race and actually contribute something worth learning for all their years of effort, pain and suffering. Hope/faith, Tsubasa has a lot of hope for this world, that they can actually win and turn their life into something that is worth living and all the effort they have put in to surviving. Though it’s slow he does believe that they can win.

Character History

Background: Tsubasa was born was born on December 31st to two parents who at the time could not support themselves and a baby child. So in a desperate attempt to spare more food, they left Tsubasa in an alleyway somewhere in the Karanese District. A day later he was discovered by an old passing though priest who instantly felt pity for the baby and decided to take him home with him. For most of his life, Tsubasa was content with this, seeing the old man as a father figure and a parent. He enjoyed living with him, helping out when he could and being taught how to read and write. Though when he reached the delicate age of nine, the old man passed away due to a heart condition and once again he was forced out onto the streets. Being only nine he couldn’t defend himself very well and instantly started to dislike how weak and pathetic he seemed to be. He made himself a small little home in a box in one of the back allies and would now and again steal food to keep from starving to death. It was there he learned that people weren’t as kind and caring as the old man who saved his life, no one seemed to want to help him and some, like the Police Brigade, would even give him dirty looks or worse. Though still, for some reason, Tsubasa held hope for them. He believed that people, like the world, could change for the better and that there was life for all of them beyond the wall.

Upon reaching the age or twelve Tsubasa instantly signed up to join the military with hopes of escaping the street life and being able to leave the walls with the Scouting Legion and make a small assist in the fight to recover what once belong to mankind. Though he wasn’t the best in his class, Tsubasa found his small size and Physical abilities allowed him to move fairly easily on the 3D Gear. He graduated at a standard level and was allowed to join the Scouting Legion.
