Personality: When in battle, Rosalinde lets her emotions control her very easily, sometimes becoming afraid and wishing she could escape, but staying only because of the pain and grief the titans have caused her. When with other members of the military, however, she is slightly shy, but very kind towards anyone she meets. Unfortunately she has taken a disliking to members of the Military Police because of a tragic event during her childhood. Since she is only 5'3" at age nineteen, Rose is very sensitive about her height, and dislikes when people call her short or anything related to the subject. If you do so happen to comment on her height, she depending on who she is talking to, she will have different reactions. If it is a close friend, she could either ignore it, letting it slide, or quietly grumble to herself, but if it is someone she doesn't know very well, she will most likely stomp on their foot and yell at them. She is kind hearted though and will regret it soon after, apologizing profusely, before most likely running away in embarrassment.

On the topic of people, her friends are very important to her, and she will do anything for them. Rose had people ripped away from her when she was young, be it from death or other causes, and so when she makes a new friend, she is afraid they could leave her. Since her friends are so important to her, she will willingly stand up for them if they are insulted, made fun of, so on. Rosalinde will also put her life on the line if necessary, because she could not handle the loss of someone so close to her ever again. With the lack of parental guidance for the majority of her life, she is sometimes confused with emotions, since she was never taught what they were, the most apparent being love. Not the love that you see with friends and family, but the cliché 'falling in love'. If she were to ever experience this type of love, Rose would be utterly confused and lost as to what she should do, and inevitability be afraid, thinking that something was wrong with her. (When you are 5 and are forced to live on the streets, only to live with a widowed woman later on, I don't honestly think she would have a full understanding of 'love')

Most of the time leaves her hair down, but when training with 3D maneuver gear she keeps it in a high ponytail. She holds herself high when walking since she was expected to be a lady in the inner wall, and has kept the habit ever since. She also has a petite form, helping with speed when using the 3DMG, but is a downfall for hand to hand training. Her chest is fairly flat, but Rose believes that it helps her instead of hindering, because it is easier when training or using her 3D manuever gear. Character Information

Likes: Using 3DMG, art, and walking through fields. All of these things let her escape from her worries, whether it be flying like a bird, stroking a quill across paper, or resting in the peace and quiet of a field, it takes her mind off of the stress of real life, and allow her to remember why she is fighting
Dislikes: The Military Police and rifles, because of the cowardice shown by her father, abandoning her and her mother during a rebellion, and rifles, because she could never handle one, as well as the thought of using it on another human being scared her. She also dislikes rats, because they used to crawl around in her cellar and scare her as a child.
Fears: Water, since she almost drowned as a child due to some persons incompetence to see where they were going. She also fears being alive if she was ever to be eaten by a titan, because of the painful memories it would cause, and it is the worst possible death imaginable to her. The last thing she fears is that those who get close to her will die, because it has happened twice before.
Motivations: Her main motivations are to protect those she loves, since she wants no one else to die, and revenge on her father for letting her mother be murdered in cold blood. Her last and most important motivation is that humanity someday will no longer have to live in fear of the titans, and she wants to help her race survive.

Character History

Background: Since her father was part of the Military Police, her and her mother lived a comfortable life in the Inner Walls, but when there was a rebel assault, her mother was shot in the heart and her father ran away, leaving Rosalinde to fend for herself on the streets. Being found by an old woman, she was taken to the district of Shinganshina, where she was raised to be the caring girl she is today. Not many years later, the titans had broken through the wall, where she witnessed the old woman die before her, and sustained a large gash on her arm, giving her a slight disability when it came to wielding her swords. Even with these tragic events, she has had the will to move forward, and gain enough strength to one day take revenge on her father, and help humanity by killing off the titans, even if it meant sacrificing her life.
