Personality: On the surface Jaune is a simple friendly country boy simply trying to live the best he can for both himself and those who need him. All ways one to keep a smile on his face, even in the worst of times. Jaune is almost always the first to lend a helping hand to those in need, as long as he see that the help will be worth it. His carefree attitude is mainly a reflection from his early years from when he had to keep a strong front when living at the orphanage. But even with the friendly smile Jaune can be very blunt towards others especially when they go against his own beliefs.
Jaune has a very straight forth mind set as he believe there is a centen way he has to live. In his younger years he learn that those who work hard will one day receive that in which they work for. However this life lesson was lost to him after only a few years living within the city walls. He now knows that its only the strong that will ever get their wish in this sad word.
While growing up in the orphanage Jaune, being the oldest, quickly became somewhat of a older brother/father figure to many of the young children. From this he has become a very good listener this has caused many to come to him to speck their worries and gets things off their mind. Despite taking on others worries as his own Jaune is happy to help those who come to him and often gives advice to those who needs it.
As far as relationships goes Jaune is clueless. His isn't so dumb he doesn't understand flirts and what not, but because of work in the past years he has never enter a relationship and knows little about it. Oddly enough it is a topic is not afraid to talk about.

Jaune stand strong and tall giving off a sense that he have live a hard life that have only made him grow strong. His hair is cut very short as to keep it from his eyes, it also has a odd green tent to it. Down the center of his left eye is a scar he received while fighting the titans, lucky it did not damage his sight in it. Jaune body is quite tone and fit as it can be seen even through is uniform. Unlike others in the Scouting Legion Jaune dose not were a jacket, but only the cloak, as he clams it slows down his swinging. He will have ever wear it if were needed, for a meeting or such.

Character InformationLikes: When free time is available Jaune can much of the time be seen reading. Because of his sleep disorder Jaune has found books and such as a way to allow his mind to escapes even help him sleep. Jaune also enjoy improving himself in any way he can. It is a common sight to see Jaune training long after others have stop or constantly working on something. It is offend joked that Jaune is never happy if his hands aren’t moving and sadly they are right. Jaune also love to cook, or more like he enjoy cooking for others and seeing them enjoy his food.
Dislikes: Jaune absolutely hate those who suck up to higher in order to live a easier life rather then work for it themselves. As he does understand where their mindset he can not bring himself to accept that is the way one should go about getting it.
Laziness is one of the quickest way to get Jaune to dislike a person.
The smell of blood: After seeing so much death the scent of blood make Jaune stomach turns over.
Fears: Jaune greatest fear is in the end dying without every reaching his dream of taking back his hometown. Dying a useless death at the hands of one of those monster is what fuels much of his fears. He also fears himself: During his days during training he and his trainer seen it many times where Jaune would push himself far beyond his limits. This has formed a unconscious fear that he will do the same during real combat and become nothing more then a burden for his team. Sadly this fear have driven Jaune into another, the fear that he is or could be to weak to help others.
Motivations: Once in his life he live only to help those who was left in the Orphanage, but as years went on a new desire formed in his heart. He wanted nothing more then to retake the outer wall so that he could at long last return to his hometown. As crazy as it is one of his main motivation is nothing more then his want to kill titans, as many as he can before his own death. Even thou he once kelp others at arms length he now grown a want and need to protect those around him.
Character HistoryBackground: In all truth Jaune truly knows nothing of his childhood up to the age of five. For as long as he can remember he was alone living off what he could find while stealing from the farmers in their little village. Most never did anything to stop him as most felt sorry for the poor boy, all but one man. James Valentine a old but hard working man were the first to ever truly care about the boy as one day when Jaune was stealing food he caught him. However rather then punish James simple made the boy work on his farm to pay back what all he took. At first Jaune hated the work, but he soon learn that those who work gets food.
Over the course of the next few years Jaune were no long some poor punk living off the street, but now a well know and liked member of the village. Sadly this simple life were never meant to last as "They" soon came. Being one of the closest villages to Wall Maria when it fell they never even had time to fully know what hit them. On a sunny day the village was painted red as the titans made their way through. Jaune along with the village children were the only known survivors of the attack. They quickly made their way toward Wall Rose and the city of Trost warning all those they could alone the way.
The years to follow were not kind to Jaune as he did his best to help the orphanage that took the children in from his village. Being to old to stay there himself Jaune simply did what he needed in order to make money for both himself and the others. However no amount of work ever seemed to be enough, until one day he heard about the money soldiers made. It was a sad reason to joined, but it allowed Jaune two things he wanted most in this world: to help his only family left and gain the power needed to fight the titans.
The years in the training camp was anything but kind to the young man as he often found himself in trouble with other who clashed with his own ideals. However even with the many things stacked against him Jaune proved himself time and time again to his trainers that he had the will and drive to do what was needed for the task at hand. At the end of his four years of training Jaune was ranked sixth of his team and while all the other planned on joining the Military Police he did not. His first choice were to join the Stationary Guard, but after hearing of the attack on Trost and how it was almost lose he knew staying put would only lead toward a slow death.
It was at this time in his life that he stepped forward to join the Scouting Legion. Of his team he was the only one to join. In truth he was scared out of his mind after joining, but proved himself during his first live combat mission where he were able to cut down two titans. It was a hollow victory for him as it came at the cost of other lives. However he couldn't let it slow him down if he was ever to help retake the outer wall and at long last see his hometown once more.
Extras: Insomnia: Because of the attack on his village after the first wall fell Jaune watched many of his fellow villager be eaten by titans as he escaped. This has left a permanent scar upon him. Because of this he sometime goes for days without sleep, however he has proven time and time again that he will not allow this from holding him back.
Dare Devil: Seen mainly when using his 3D gear Jaune often takes risks when flying through the air. However because of this "Out of his mind flying" Jaune used of the 3D gear was second to none in his days at the training camp.
