The town of Bayville just south of NYC was a sleepy little summer vacation spot, that is until two private schools set up their campuses within town limits. The Frost Academy is a prep school for the nations future CEO's, Tycoons, Lawyers and Politicians... at least that's what their website says. And the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning offers the highest quality education to gifted students in every discipline, from science to literature to art. What the rest of the world doesn't know is that both schools are safe havens for mutants, mages, and other meta-humans.
Futuregen is an AU Marvel game. We welcome canons and oc. Mutants, mages, mutates, magical beings, even aliens. Also we've taken the standard marvel teams and thrown them in a blender. Sabertooth is working at the Frost Academy, Stephen Strange is a co-headmaster with Xavier, Jean-Paul married Christian Frost, Cyclops is still a student and there's even a Gargoyle on the X-men team. Creativity is welcome!
Feel free to take as much liberty with canons as you want, change their age, change their allegiances. We love imagination and would love to have you join us. Our approach is to maintain a vague amount of believability. We've taken inspiration from all the x-men movies as well as the television show, X-men Evolution and use them as the primary basis for our world.
Magic is almost completely unknown, there "are no aliens" and mutants are widely feared and misunderstood. People value the normal, the mundane, what they can trust and understand and they fear anything that does not fit into their world. This game will be a struggle for your characters. A struggle to find themselves in a world where they just don't fit in.
We welcome all kinds of characters, from students, to townies, to teachers and other sorts of various staff. Our creative process is very organic, and we will work with you to make sure you get to play what you want while also maintaining game balance.
We also welcome all kinds of writing styles. From those folks who like to write multi-page, to those who feel a paragraph or so is just right.
